(Brussels, 24 April 2025) On Thursday, 30 Belgian MICE agents and international association professionals had the opportunity to explore Germany during a networking evening with meeting experts from Munich, Cologne, Berlin, Hamburg and Düsseldorf.

The GCB German Convention Bureau Europe Regional Manager, Akram Ouzid, enlisted the help of Pauline van Kooten, The Contact Factory Managing Director, to deliver a cosy event at the Sofitel Europe hotel in Brussels.
“Belgium is a key source market for Germany’s meetings industry, consistently ranking high for international associations based in Belgium,” said Ouzid.
“The two countries share strong trade and investment ties, particularly in chemicals, vehicle construction, aviation, and pharmaceuticals. Business and research connections further strengthen their relationship,” the GCB manager remarked.
The international conference organisers also had a moment of fun and icebreaking creating “spaghetti towers” topped off of marshmallows.
